Fibershed is an organization like no other. With a definitively modern and innovative approach to tradtitional practices and industry, they are supporting the production, processing and consumption of regional fiber economies. As such, there is much that lends the brand to distinction – the fusion of tradition and innovation, heritage and contemporism, of science and artistry.
A Fibershed is a geographical landscape that defines and gives boundaries to a natural textile resource base. The logo is a systematically abstract portrayal of the fibershed. Being built upon a pattern, reminiscent of a woven structure, the mark is a balance of bold & recognizable, and soft & elegant, precise & organic. It contains a nod to the disparate people and processes that form the foundation of a fibershed, the woven products that are the tangible result, and the intrinsic cyclical nature of an ecologically rooted regional fiber economy.
We worked with Fibershed to direct and design a comprehensive new website, that drastically simplified the organization of the old one, while also creating an infrastructure that could show off their ample, beautiful photo assets. The site was developed by FACTA Studio.
